Attendance Types

Attendance types in Lightpost define what attendance records we record user attendance for.

Lightpost provides the ability for each congregation to define their own "attendance types".

Attendance types are events such as:

• Sunday Morning Class

• Sunday Morning Worship

• Sunday Evening Worship

• Tuesday Night Bible Study

• Wednesday Night Class

For each type, there are a number of options available.

Is AM / is PM

This defines whether this attendance type should show up in the morning or evening when taking attendance from the mobile app, or when allowing self check-in.

Allow Check-in

Lightpost provides the ability for members to record their own attendance. For any attendance type that this is enabled for, an option will show up on the specified day and AM/PM time for a member to check their family in as having attended.

This is the digital equivalent of filling out an attendance card. 🙂

This option will show up in the mobile and web apps for members who are logged in at the appropriate time.
